The SPL big kick-off is almost upon us, so The Terrace will be giving you the most extensive preview around. We will be choosing our The Terrace Team of the Year - a line-up of potential stars of this campaign, with representation from every SPL team. We’ll also have our Top 5 new signings to look forward to witnessing on the opening weekend, and as usual we will give our predictions for the weekend.

Scotland travel to Stockholm to play Sweden on Wednesday. Although the squad has been decimated by ‘injury’ and it is an ill-timed affair, we will still give the game a cursory nod and try and guess what we will see from Levein’s men.

The SFL got going with a bang at the weekend, and as always we have no shortage of talking points: from Falkirk’s shock defeat to a classic encounter in Paul Sheerin’s first match as a manager for Arbroath.
