This week’s podcast brings us back to the late 60’s as Celtic were in the middle of their famous nine-in-a-row league run and we are delighted to be joined by one of our most prolific goalscorers of the time, Mr Joe McBride. Joe’s career was not the longest, spanning only three seasons but his goalscoring feats were exemplary, netting 86 goals in 94 appearances for the Club. We talk about that incredible goal ratio, the team and management of the time and also the role he played on our way to win the “Big Cup”. Joe’s tale is both interesting and entertaining as recounts, not only his successes but also his injury heartbreak. Podcast 69 In the light of all of the controversy over the last few weeks surrounding media bias and conspiracy theories, we catch up with Stephen O’Reilly, deputy editor of the Irish News. The Irish News is one of the exceptions in terms of newspaper reporting in so much that they have consistently portrayed a more accurate and realistic approach when it comes to reporting the going-ons at the Football Club. Stephen himself has been the main Celtic correspondent for the paper for numerous years and as a self confessed Celtic fan, we thought that he would give an invaluable insight into the portrayal of Celtic in the media today. Well, can you wait? Well, can ya? With Sunday approaching quickly, the lads get together and have their weekly session only with a wee difference. Gerry finally joins the technological age by not only buying a new computer, but also installing Skype, thus reducing the monthly LostBhoys bill by a fortune. So now we can not only hear the big lug, but we can see him too. This of course proves too much for the lads as they revert back to primary seven antics by spending most of the podcast flicking the bird at each other and making funny faces…..all very mature lads, all very mature……… That being said, Gerry has done his homework and arrives prepared with notes scribbled on a piece of paper with a crayon and leads the team in a man-by-man analysis of how the game will turn out against THEM. Well are you bored with International week already? Are you finished scraping around the Timternet trying to find wee snippets of Celtic related news, chat and gossip? If so, have we got a treat for you this week? Following on from Chris’ rant on last week’s podcast about Norn Iron and why he doesn’t support them, we could do nothing else but try to get hold of someone who experienced the whole situation at first hand and lived to tell the tale. The Belfast connections went into full flow as we scrambled for a phone number of a friend of a friend of a guy that lives up the street from someone that might know of the whereabouts of this International Man of Mystery. Low and behold, we got him and twisted his arm into spilling his belly for the first time on record. Of whom doth I speak, none other than our very own Belfast Child and Celtic cult hero, the one and only Anton Rogan. Unbelievably, Anton tells us that this is the only interview he has ever done, so we are absolutely honoured to have a wee chat with the “Rogue”. It is hard to believe in this day and age that he has never written a book or chucked out a DVD so this really is a chance for him to give his side of the story to all the colourful events that surrounded his playing days both on and off the field. “Appy talkin', talkin, appy talk”, Well were you as bored us last week? We hate International week, you go through all the message-boards and scratch around for Celtic info or Celtic chat, but it was bare bones to say the least. So what were we to do with no footie to talk about and it’s way too early to interview another ex-player right? Well, off we went with recorder in hand to talk to a few guys that put their own Celtic media out there and get their opinions on what the Club provides for the fans. This was a podcast we have been looking forward to for quite some time and it was great to get Housey from the Over And Over Radio show and Seamus Cummins from Philadelphia who put together much needed Celtic iPhone App under the obvious monicker iCeltic onto the show for a good old-fashioned bitchin’ session (alright, not really a bitchin session but a few good suggestions that the Club should really take note of maybe). We know that there have been many books, DVDs, TV Shows and newspaper articles written about the man, so we asked questions that would give a fresher insight into Henrik’s career in the Hoops. What was his relationship like with the managers of the time, how did they differ and what traits did he take from each as he begins his own managerial career. Larsson gives us a great hind-sight view of his time at Celtic Park, his emotions during the “Stopping the Ten” season, his leg break during the Barnes era, what it was like to play for Dr Joe and then the fun of the Glory Years when he not only “marched with O’Neil” but led the troops. We find out why he stayed at the club he still loves for seven years, despite many offers to leave. Henrik recalls returning to Glasgow with Barcelona and gives an interesting insight into what the Spanish giants thought about having to play at Celtic Park on a European night from the visitors dressing room perspective. “The Celtic Song” Podcast 55 sees us back to our usual Friday night spot as the LostBhoys catch up with Terry Dick, son of the famous Celtic Singer Glen Daly. The song is fifty years old next year and Terry takes us back to 1961 when the song was recorded and released to an audience that listened to Radio Luxemburg as the swinging sixties were starting to heat up. Our usual Celtic paranoia kicks in as Terry recounts the furor towards the Celtic Song and the Ballad of John Thompson at the time and the hostile opposition there was to the songs in the local media with calls to have it banned as it might incite violence – and you thought this was just a new thing?? We hear how the song developed and exploded into the anthem that it is today as well as how the song got embraced by the Football Club itself (despite a certain member of the board trying to have it dropped in the 1990’s). We hear how the song has turned up in many different media productions not to mention it’s most famous airing, in the tunnel at Lisbon. LostBhoys Podcast supplement Number 1…………..”HomeBhoys”. We don’t do any podcast for a couple of weeks then two come along in four days – what is going on?????????? With Chris working in China, Jamie sitting on a soft seat on the beach and Gerry gone shopping for warm clothes, a few of our “HomeBhoys” volunteered to take up the mic this week and have a go at doing their own wee podcast. John Fallon Interview

John Fallon joins us on the LostBhoys podcast this week and offers up a very frank and honest assessment of his career and the relationships he enjoyed with a lot of the players during the 60’s and 70’s at Celtic football club. John talks about his days working with Frank Haffey , Ronnie Simpson and Evan Williams as they all battled it out for the coveted number 1 jersey as he recounts the European adventures, the triumphs and the heartbreaks from the golden age of Celtic’s illustrious history. John picked up many medals during his 14 years at the Club and played in many of the games that are part of our history and folklore including the Di Stefano testimonial and the World Club cup games to mention but a few. This is not only John’s story about the Lisbon Lions and Jock Stein era, but the story of a Celtic Supporter who lived the dream of pulling on the hoops. John is still a popular figure today that writes for the More Than 90 Minutes fanzine and is a regular contributor to the NATIMS list. Where Everybody Knows Your Name…….. What? What do you mean it’s only Thursday? It’s Friday somewhere!! Yeah, yeah, so the Podcast is out on Thursday this week instead of Friday, so what, take Friday off work and get on with it. Podcast 45 – Patted on the Head. You all know, even when it’s over, it’s never over. The Bhoys take some light refreshment and reflect on what went wrong (did anything go right?) and ask the question, “If we predicted a Celtic win every week for 45 weeks, why did we not win the league?” Of course we have all the answers, scratchy shirts etc…….. Gerry gets upset, although his new calm persona comes through (must be the tai chi in the mornings), Jamie adopts his free spirit (must be the iced tea in the morning) and the whole thing goes fluttering off in a path akin to a psychedelic butterfly (I can’t write that can I??). The Good Child Foundation. Alright, alright, I know it is difficult to read the papers, listen to the sports shows etc at the minute. If you want to hear doom and gloom, go to the main site and fill your boots with it on the Justin TV video taken from last Saturday’s live phone-in. I was going to edit that and put it up as a podcast this week, but to be brutally honest, the more I listened to it, the more I got upset and angry so I knocked it on the head and decided to move on. …….And what a way to move on!! This week, the LostBhoys are delighted to be joined with Paul and Pun Lennon along with Chris Joyce from the Good Child Foundation in Thailand. You have all seen the videos of the little kids singing the Celtic songs all over the message-boards and YouTube, well, these are the guys that teach the kids English by way of those songs. There was me thinking that it was just some wee’uns singing “Over and Over” etc, bhoy was I wrong!! The story is much more than just that and I am proud to speak to a couple of people who sum up just what it is to be part of the Celtic family. Do you really have to ask what the main topic of conversation is this week?? Nah, didn’t think so. So Tony is out and Lenny is in (at least for now),so we look back on that was the week that was and discuss the events that hammered the final nail (or four)in the coffin of the Mowbray Experiment. The Bhoys take it on the chin and move on (that is too easy and a little bit corny but what the hell) to look at the huge list of names already being brandished about as a potential replacement, so reasonable, some a wee bit more far-fetched. It is hard to believe that we are talking about all this already eh? Jamie writes a letter to Peter Lawell and asks him for a little clarification on a few things and we ponder where we are as a Club and where we might be going in the future. Gary McGeady provides the answers to last week’s quiz and picks your brains with another four gems. Declan Hanlon, the Vice President of the Aurora CSC in Canada join Chris and Gerry this week (As Jamie is in Florida playing golf). Declan kisses and tells about the recent Celtic Supporters Clubs’ Annual football tournament held in Hamilton Canada and lets fly with some sour grapes regarding the eventual winners Bramalea (No-one mention “ringers” okay!). The Bhoys go on to talk about last week’s win verses Killie and look forward to the game at the weekend against Saint John’s Town (…….you all know what I mean). The discussion continues about the new Mr Stein Statue, John Kennedy’s Testimonial, the big Supporters meeting in Glasgow on Saturday and Rangers’ new hero who looks like he has packed up his two-bob-fifty and left Dodge (did we laugh – well just a little bit). A win will give us some hope of lifting the League Championship and hence slam a huge torpedo into the side of HMS Dignity, whilst anything short of a win will have us summoning our own life-rafts to the fore. The boys look back on last week’s huge win over Dundee Utd, look forward to the game on Sunday and discuss the recent press “revelation” that the referees in Scotland are out to get us? We also discuss with Jamie that a two horse race is still fun, as long as you are backing one of the horses, and that horse actually has a chance of winning. I think we convince him, but at least he is happy to be in the right stable. Here is the recording of the LostBhoys live phone in show after the match yesterday. This was a dry run to make sure our equipment worked and to see if people wanted to make this a more regular thing. Saturday's "Live" phone in show. We originally planned to broadcast on WebCam viw Twitter, but just as we set up, Twitter went down so very hastily we jumped over to Justin.tv and it seemed to work very well. Callers were able to reach us on the phone via Skype, type messages on some of the messageboards, twitter and the chat room in Justin TV. All in all it was a really fun exercise and we had over 100 viewers chatting and calling in. There was no music or advert breaks, no Hugh Kevins' or Rangers supporters, just Celtic fans talking about Celtic. The feedback we got so far has been great and we are planning to do it again soon. Podcast 28, Jan 1st 2010. This week, Chris and Jamie are joined in person by Gerard Dale, Treasurer of the Calgary Celtic Supporters Club who is down in Houston for a few days. We are also joined on the phone by Stephen Patterson from the New Orleans CSC who tells us about how the club got established and more importantly, survived Hurricane Katrina that devastated the City and took the lives of many of its residents. Stephen?s story makes you realize how the Celtic family can come together and support each other from all over the world.

We also look back at the Hamilton game, look forward to the game against ?them? and talk about the Captaincy, the transfer window and all that other jazz. We also get an update from Chas Duffy from the Bronx Bhoys on the success of their annual Christmas charity dance.
