Stamford Chidge and the team convene for the last proper FanCast of the season and discuss the Europa Cup win, the Everton game, bidding farewell to Paulo Ferreira and debunk the myth of the Rafa love in!

The end of the season and we’ve won our second European trophy in as many years; secured 3rd place in the Premier League and automatic Champions League qualification; Super Frankie Lampard breaks the goal scoring record and signs a new contract; Chelsea FanCast has a great party and hell, even Torres scores two important goals – life really can’t be that bad can it?

We discuss the Europa League victory and the last match of the season against Everton on the show and as always we’ve got the Fannies where we award our Man of the Match; Chant of the Match; Guinness and Celery moments. We also ask is the Rafa love in myth or fact – and do we care - after all his tenure is over!

We also have another dose of Chelsea Chadder’s weekly stats, and to wrap up we answer your questions in “If You Don’t Ask, You Don’t Get” – on anything – football or non-football!!

Don’t forget you can now listen to the show live every Monday at 19.00 BST by going to mixlr.com/chelsea-fancast on your computer or IPhone, and you’ll be able to interact with us live on mixlr, and twitter @ChelseaFanCast. You can also email us at chelseafancast@gmail.com during the week.

Hey Chidge and all.
What can I say?
What happened on Wednesday was unbelievable.
Postponed due to fog. What fog?
Anyway, we started well but conceded a flipping SET PIECE from bad defending especially Alex.
How can you concede a corner from the half way line.
After that we whupped their arse.
Good save by Cech after an enonimous mistake by Mikel.
Great goal by Ballack.
Good time to score.
In the second half, we pretty much swept them off the pitch.
Good goals.

Anyway, I got my Chelsea calendar for 2009.
I opened the calendar and I saw there were the players autographs.
Ooh, first thing tht crossed my mind... Autograph Book needs its update.
Alright, here comes a sad part.
Yes that's right my precious forges have been lost.
The autograph book has passed on/ lost.
A moment of silence would cheer me up and would show your appreciation.
I will try and find them.

My favourite part of the show is obviously Tales from the Shed.
My question this week.
Will Drogba leave?

Please can you put my post on the podcast. It's the only thing that cheers me up after Joe Cole's horrendous injury against the Shrimpers.

P.S- Chelsea were singing oh aho oh aho Can you the Shrimpers sing? I can't here a flipping thing !!!!!!
By the way your programme is definetly "the dogs bo---cks"

Based on the alpha personalities of the squad, I think Guus Hiddink would be a better than Ancellotti. Think about it..Grant, Scolari, Ancelloti..gentle passive people (at least as their public persona's goes). Mourinho was an alpha male..took control, had assertion..said to all that Chelsea were not to be messed with. Now look at some of the squad..Terry, Lampard, Ballack, Drogba (back to front). These are captains (also possible) of their international squads. They tell people what to do. These type of people respond to people who are firm, decisive, and have presence. Hiddink is the person who can steer these hungry guys to success.

Just saw the game against Spartak Moscow and saw the post match interview with Carlo. As he’s picking up more English language we get to learn more about how he has a great sense of humour. Brana scoring 3 goals. What a laugh! 2 for us, 1 for them. I saw the interview on the internet as I am from Orange County California

Dear Mart,

Yank listener here for a couple of years: fascinated by the rich club culture and tradition which “you lot” express with such passion and defend so fiercely.

Last week, I was particularly intrigued by your interview with John King. I haven’t read the novel yet, but I watched “The Football Factory” last night.

I must say, I was a bit bewildered by it all. I get social alienation, but in the film, at least, I could not see clear links between social and generational themes and a flat out commitment to fighting linked to football. The only sense I could make of the commitment to violence and the almost complete exclusion of actual football from the mindset on screen involved A. tribalism, B. addiction to adrenalin levels not provided by the actual games, C. appalling parenting, and D. omission from the fore-shortened film of nuances in the novel that might help a barbarian like me understand.

Anyway, I have a couple of questions for the crew:

1. How do you guys see the intersection and divergence between football club culture you represent so well and the hooligans’ commitment to violence?

2. How much of the famous hooligan violence of earlier decades is still part of the scene?

3. How can you help a Yank like me understand the linkage of football and violence?
